Students will learn about West Coast Style IPA's with Caramel Malt, West Coast Style IPA's with Munich Malt, West Coast Style IPA's with 100% Pilsner Malt, Hoppy West Coast Style Lagers, Cold IPA's, Italian Pilsners, the California Common and the West Coast Pale Ale.

Gavin Harper
Gavins thirst for brewing knowledge created a passion that perpetually seeks erudition to quench. Working as a professional brewer, Gavin assists breweries in better understanding the intricacies of all brewing procedures, restaurants and pubs for beer menus, staff training, and food pairings and to many the idea of being a beer connoisseur. As a brewmaster, Master Cicerone®, BJCP Certified Judge and all around beer aficionado, Gavin is here to help present your best pint.
Nathan McCusker
Nathan's beer-evangelist journey began one fateful day in 2002 after moving to LA and ordered Stone's IPA it was love at first sip. True to his inquisitive nature, and newfound patronage at Eagle Rock Brewery, he dove into the world of homebrewing and realized the creative nature of brewing, recipe formulation and experimentation. Nathan has been the lead brewer at Angry Horse Brewing since 2020 and recently graduated from the Master Brewers Association of America's Brewing and Malting Science course.
Having overcome late stage, non-Hodgkin's, Burkitt lymphoma at the mere age of 8, Nathan has always been a philanthropist. Having 15 years of experience working in the non-profit sector with the American Cancer Society and raising funds for type 1 diabetes at JDRF, Nathan has spent much of his life building and supporting various communities. Fostering our own community at Angry Horse Brewing and contributing to the LA beer scene is exactly what Nathan is set out to do.
